Special Assistance

Guarantee travelers a pleasant flight. Through a range of service assistance, at the airport and on board of our flights.

We strongly advise you to request these services when booking your flight but you can book them on the Tayaran Jet website up to 48 hours before your flight departure time.

After this time and up to 12 hours before the flight departure passengers must contact our Special Assistance line (subject to opening hours). If you do not provide 48-hour notice, the assistance requested may not be available and your travel plans may be interrupted.

For an airport to provide booked special assistance, passengers must report to the airport’s special assistance desk 2 hours before the flight departure time.


What types of special airport assistance will be offered?

Listed below are the available special airport assistance formulas that can be booked online (except for oxygen) or contact us through our online chat or by calling the Tayaran Jet Line for special assistance.

• Passenger needs assistance (departure and arrival) through the airport to the boarding gate;

• passenger requires assistance (departure and arrival) through the airport and lift up / down escalator and from / to the plane seat;

• passenger requests assistance (departure and arrival) through airport and up/down aircraft stairs;

• passenger requires an escort (departure and arrival) to assist him through the airport to the seat of the plane and security         information given separately by the flight crew;

• passengers travelling with a guide dog / assistance that requires a (departure and arrival) to assist through the airport to the seat of   the aircraft and security information given separately by the flight crew;

• the passenger is blind/with damaged view but does not require assistance (traveling alone or accompanied);

• Self sufficient passengers with intellectual disabilities able to understand the safety rules that need assistance (departure and arrival) through the   airport to the boarding gate (departure and arrival);

• the passenger is deaf and requires separate safety instructions on board the aircraft;

• passengers travelling with a guide dog / assistance - no special assistance services required;

• passengers who require medical oxygen in flight must book and pay for the service at least 7 days before the date of their trip must contact us     through our online chat or by calling the Special Assistance Line. 


Assigned seats

If you have booked one of the following types of assistance we will assign you a suitable place on board for free along with a travel companion.

For safety reasons, customers requiring one of the following types of special assistance shall be seated by a window UNLESS that seat is occupied by a travel companion or the flight load allows empty seats between the disabled customer and the window.

• Passengers traveling with a guide dog / assistance that requires a walker (departure and arrival) through the airport to the seat of the plane and   security information given separately from the flight crew;

• passengers travelling with a guide dog / assistance - no special assistance services required;

• passenger requires assistance (departure and arrival) through the airport and lift up / down escalator and from / to the plane seat;

• passenger requests assistance (departure and arrival) through airport and up/down aircraft stairs

• Self-sufficient passengers with intellectual disabilities who can understand and meet the safety standards that need assistance (departure and   arrival) through the airport at the boarding gate (departure and arrival);

• passenger requires an escort (departure and arrival) to assist him through the airport to the seat of the plane and security information given   separately by the flight crew.

Postural supports

If you want to use one of the accepted postural aids on board (see below) you will need to contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure time (although it is advisable to do so at the time of booking) to inform us and assign a suitable place to the support system at no additional cost.

There are a number of child restraint systems and postural supports that are accepted for use on board our aircraft.

These supports may be used in addition to an aircraft safety-belt, subject to certain safety restrictions.Unfortunately we are not able to allow the use of postural supports for children under the age of 2 years.

Support aids for posture

The following postural supports to be provided and fitted by the passenger shall be permitted on board:

1. Meru travel chair (provided by passenger)

The Meru travel chair provides postural support for disabled children between the ages of 3 and 11 who are unable to use the aircraft’s seating during flight on commercial aircraft.

2. Crelling harness (provided by passenger)

HSB1 - This stand consists only of shoulder pads that are designed to convert a simple strap into a support harness - Suitable for passengers from 9 years to adulthood.

Model 27 - It is a complete 5-point harness designed to provide additional support and is suitable for passengers from 2 years to adulthood. Passengers using postural supports must be accompanied by an adult (over 16).

The Crelling harness must be used as per the manufacturer’s instructions (installation age weight) and passengers are advised to bring the assembly instructions on board for reference.

3. Amsafe CARES (child aviation restraint system) (provided by passenger)

This is a belt and buckle device that attaches directly to the aircraft seat and is used in combination with the aircraft seat belt.It is designed specifically for the use of aviation for children who weigh between 10kg and 20kg.

The restraint shall be provided by the passenger himself and shall be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions (weight age of installation) and passengers shall be advised to carry the assembly instructions on board for reference.

A passenger using the CARES restraint shall be accompanied by an adult (over 16 years of age).

4. GoTo lightweight seat size 2 (provided by passenger).

It is a portable and lightweight seating solution for 2-5 year olds who need additional postural support and stability.

5. Burnett body support (provided by passenger)

The system is based around a welded casing filled with micro beads that follow the natural profile of the individual. By extracting the air through a valve the casing contracts and the static force of the beads joins them to provide a mold. This system is available in different sizes to meet the physical dimensions of the passenger.

The above information is intended for disabled passengers who cannot sit upright without help and who do not meet the criteria for sitting on the lap of an adult or for using a car seat on board.
